CAMPING ACTIVITIES AND ENVIRONMENTAL DIALOGUE

Alumni Parlamentu Foinsa’e Timor-Leste (APFTL) liu hosi FFS-XXI parseria ho OXFAM Timor-Leste, no tulun hosi Permakultura Timor-Leste (PERMATIL) realiza atividade akapamentu no diálogu hamutuk ho joven ativista ambientál & produtivu sira hamutuk nain-64, kompostu hosi feto nain-22 no mane nain-42, hosi Munisipiu Sanulu-resin-tolu (13), iha sentru Fatusuka aldeia Sukalau, suku Dare, postu Nain Feto Munisipiu Dili nian.

The activity was inspired by the celebration of World Youth Day 2023 “GREEN SKILLS FOR YOUTH: TOWARDS A SUSTAINAIBLE WORLD TODAY, THE WORLD IS EMBARKING ON A GREEN TRANSITION”.

The objective of this meeting and dialogue activity is to achieve the following aspects;

  • Approach the Productive Group to present interests and concerns to the Government and State institutions to consider in State policy.
  • Young people and communities, especially young women, know and have knowledge about how to conserve clean water sources.
  • Participants already have knowledge about climate finance and processes in Timor-Leste, including access to green finance funds

The sequence of the open dialogue between the speaker and the youth is as follows:

  1. Environmental Activist from RAENAL with the topic "Feminism and Ecology = Ecofeminism",
  2. Director General of the Environment with the topic “General Introduction to Environmental Policy in Timor-Leste”,
  3. Delegation of the National Designated Authority for Climate Change [ANDAC,IP] with the topic “Mobilization of International Green Funds to Combat Climate Change”
  4. President of the National Environmental Licensing Authority [ANLA.IP] with the topic “Environmental Protection and Environmental Licensing”
  5. Delegation of the Secretary of State for Equality with the topic “The Role of Women in the Environment”
  6. Finally, OXFAM in Timor-Leste with the topic “Ecological Displacement of Contemporary Development and Global Climate Finance Policy”.

In addition, the youth observed directly the results of the conservation of springs by PERMATIL and the community near Fatusuka.
