MEJD CONTINUES TO LAUNCH FILMING AT EBC SCHOOL HOPE OF THE COUNTRY.


Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEJD), represented by the Director General of Planning, Policy, Inclusion and Press (DG PPII), Mr. Raimundo José Neto officially continues to launch the film with the content “Youth Prepared for the Future Nabilan” at Central Elementary School (EBC). Becora,Dili (28/03/2022).

The objective of this film is to transform and educate female and male students to better understand the impact of violence and pregnancy with minors, thus preparing their mentality and knowledge to face such situations in future. And for teachers and students to know better about the relevant policies that MEJD and MSSI have already. Because often happens discrimination makes them have to stop their school and prevent their right to access education, so it is difficult for them to achieve their dreams.

 At the launch, DG-PPII, Mr. Raimundo José Neto said, “Being a good youth and prepared for a bright future requires a good capacity, mentality, morality to do not commit violence and pregnancy with minorities. So you can achieve your beautiful dreams in the future.

On this occasion, Director of Education of Dili Municipality, Mr. Carlito da Silva said, “youth are the future of this democratic state and to develop the country forward, we need your morality, good mentality to compete with developed countries others.

On the other hand, Director of EBC School Hope of the Fatherland, Mr. João da Silva Pereira added, this program is very good and hopes that the reflection of the filming can change / transform students' thinking and mentality for the better.

In the same place, student EBC Esperança da Pátria Sergio dos Santos da Costa expressed, “I feel happy for the brothers and sisters of APFTL because they can bring filming to open in our school and the advantage of filming is that we can prepare ourselves for 'better not to fall into violence and early pregnancy for my female colleagues in the future”.

The launch ceremony was attended by MEJD DG-PPII and his team, Director of Education of Dili Municipality, representatives of UNICEF, APFTL, teachers and students in the school. Becora,Dili. APFTL team continues to expand the filming in other schools such as: (ESG) 12 November, (ESG) 4 September Unamet Dili and ESG Nicolau Lobato Dili.

The activity was carried out through joint work between UNICEF and MEJD and implemented by the Alumni of the Timor-Leste Youth Parliament (APFTL).
