Executive Structure of Timor-Leste Youth Parliament Alumni and some APFTL members, participated in the Rapid Survey & Institutional Assessment workshop organized by UNICEF, which will soon study 22 orphanages in Timor-Leste on child protection and related issues with COVID-19.
The objective of the Rapid Survey & Institutional Assessment of Orphanato 22 is to find out how children practice healthy conditions and hygiene, access to information about COVID-19, and the prevalence of violence against children.
The workshop also included a brief presentation on Child Protection Principals and child interview techniques. On this occasion, APFTL members gained experience in conducting approximation studies or research, to promote the role of APFTL in conducting studies and advocacy for children and youth.
In addition to the study, UNICEF will distribute hygiene materials to the orphanages and a tablet to the orphanage focal point as there will be virtual animation activities that APFTL will facilitate. [Movie]
