Know a little about COVID-19 and some of its prevention methods

What is Covid-19?

The COVID-19 pandemic is an acute respiratory disease caused by a virus called Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corornavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). The disease was first identified in Wuhan City, China, on December 1, 2019, but its first case was reported on December 31, 2019; Doctors, scientists and the World Health Organization have not confirmed its origin, but scientists have discovered that SARS-CoV-2 is 70% genetically identical to the coronavirus in bats and wild animals that have been identified ur right before, so SARS-CoV-2 has number 2 that the virus is a new type (novel coronavirus 2019 or nCov-19) to make a difference with coronavirus in Niki and other wild animals.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, announced on February 11, 2020 that the official name of the disease is COVID-19, to distinguish it from the word coronavirus which refers to the group of viruses, and the name of the virus itself is Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corornavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2); WHO also totally rejects the name of the virus according to the location of the first case, so WHO strictly prohibits the use of the term Wuhan Virus or China Virus, because the coronavirus already exists, however SARS-CoV-2 identified by scientists and Virologists are a new kind of virus.

On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a Pandemic Outbreak. As of March 29, 2020, there were 720,117 confirmed cases or people infected with the virus from 200 countries and territories; the current death toll is 33,958 (deaths due to COVID-19); and 149,122 have been cured of COVID-19.
